Fees for Tax Returns, Immigration Services and Consulting

Our Fee Philosophy

We do not consider ourselves a tax return preparation company. Our company provides a tax advisory relationship for our clients which frequently includes the preparation of related tax returns. After we have met or spoken to a new client, we determine a "fixed" fee for one year of our services. This fee generally includes any necessary tax returns, as well as related services including meetings, phone calls, emails, printing and mailing costs. There are no "hidden" fees. We believe this philosophy encourages our clients to contact us before problems occur, rather than hesitate because of an unclear fee structure. The feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive regarding this approach.

We are able to offer the same (or higher) level of expertise and service you would receive from the big firms, but at rates that are generally 50% - 75% of the cost of the big firms, or even less in many cases.

A few indicative examples of our fees for one year of service (2011, all prices ex VAT):

Dutch and US Individual Income Tax Returns:

• Dutch income tax return of average complexity: Starting at €600
• Dutch income tax return for spouse/partner (most cases): €175 - €300
• U.S. federal and state income tax returns: Starting at €1,250
• U.S. Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts: €175 
• Prior year tax returns or amended tax returns: Fixed fee based on complexity

Other Fixed-Fee Services:

• Complete procedure of a 30%-expat tax ruling in the Netherlands: €575
• Application 30%-expat tax ruling for a “regular” Knowledge Migrant scenario: € 300
• Request for a preliminary tax refund: €165 (€295 if we do not prepare your tax returns)
• Request for a Certificate of Coverage or E101 Certificate for social security purposes: €375

Immigration fees:

• One-time registration of the Dutch company with the IND’s knowledge migrant desk €650
• A combi-application for a residence permit with a MVV (visa) as a Knowledge Migrant €1,000
• Residence permit application € 600
• Work permit application € 950

Consulting Services:

• Consulting services which do not include a tax return are generally billed at hourly rates, depending on the complexity and level of experience required. They are ranging from €100 (junior staff advice) to €250 (partner's advice).
